Frederic Pinkney is the pastor and founder of Joshua Christian Faith Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
A product of the public school system, he attended Darnell Cookman Junior High School and New Stanton High School in Jacksonville. Dr. Frederic completed four years of study at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. He was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in 1974.
In 1981, Frederic Pinkney answered the call of God into the gospel ministry. From that day, he has never looked back knowing that he made the correct decision to follow the call of God. In 1982, Frederic Pinkney was licensed by Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church where Rev. Robert Lee Cox was a pastor. One year later, he was called to pastor Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church located in Jacksonville, Florida. The church had seven members and the youngest was sixty years of age. Pleasant Grove grew from seven members to hundreds before he was called to his next assignment. In 1992 with just fifty people, Dr. Frederic started Joshua Christian Faith Center. He brought his wife Gloria alongside him in the ministry and together, they are teaching the Word with power and authority. Dr. Pinkney’s television and radio ministry air 5 days a week in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. This servant of God has traveled throughout America and the continent of Africa teaching leaders.
Dr. Pinkney is married to the lovely Gloria who is the co-pastor and co-founder of the ministry. Dr. Frederic and Gloria Pinkney are proud parents of two loving and outstanding daughters who work fulltime in the ministry, Minister Lisa Harris who serves as the director of Joshua Christian Academy and Shayla Pinkney who serves as the pastor’s personal secretary. They are the proud grandparents of one grandson Frederic B Pinkney, Jr.
Dr. Frederic is a dynamic teacher who preaches, teaches, and walks by the Word of Faith. God’s power never changes; it manifests with just the people’s ability to believe. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7.
